Hello from sunny Orlando! Home of Disney World, the Harry Potter Experience at Universal and the HIMSS17 conference, all of which given me a twinge of awe and amazement when I walk through the gates/doors (and each of which always leave my feet hurting at the end of the day). This year at HIMSS, I am contemplating wearing sneakers versus my fashionable flats given all that is going on, particularly around CommonWell
If you are me, having a plan for how you spend your time at HIMSS is key to a stress-free, education and networking-filled time at the Conference. I hope you will include CommonWell as one of your “must see” points at the show.
To help in your planning, here are my top 5 things to see from CommonWell while at HIMSS.
- CommonWell Care Transitions at the Interop Showcase: This is the first year CommonWell is participating in the Interoperability Showcase at HIMSS. The CommonWell Care Transitions use case demonstration is a dedicated vignette demonstrating three-part interoperability with CommonWell Health Alliance and participating members, Cerner and Brightree. Attendees will be able to watch as a patient navigates the health care system starting in an in-patient setting, moving to a home care setting and ultimately following up with her primary care physician (PCP). Visit us Monday, Feb 20 – Wednesday, Feb 22 for live demonstrations every 15 minutes past the hour.
- CommonWell TV: Our members will be featured on CommonWell TV next week. Hear from industries icons like David McCallie and Arien Malec, from our own executive director Jitin Asnaani, and from more than 20 CommonWell member executives, as they share their thoughts on CommonWell, interoperability and the future of the health care industry – all near real time from the HIMSS show floor! Tune in Monday and Tuesday to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
- CommonWell Presentations at HIMSS: We invite you to join us at our many events, presentation and member demonstrations happening next week and in various locations. A comprehensive list is available on our HIMSS17 Digital Guide.
